I’ve heard and observed these excuses again and again in many organizations and I bet you have too.
“WE CAN’T BE INNOVATIVE IN OUR COMPANY BECAUSE…
…ITS NOT IN OUR CULTURE”
… WE ARE IN A HEAVILY REGULATED INDUSTRY ”
…ITS NOT A PRIORITY RIGHT NOW”
…WE TRIED AND DID WHAT WE CAN”
…IT REQUIRES SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE AND RESOURCES”
…THEY WON’T ALLOW US”

They are a side effect of next root cause:
Customer focused and Innovative culture, isn’t for us, we have established system and processes or our decisions are made from top.
That’s false. Any person on any position in any organization can be customer focused and innovative. Until now, mostly startups behaved that way because the uncertainty of their environment forced them to. Interesting moment is now when big organizations operate with just as much uncertainty and require just as much innovation to survive. So the new environment will ‘force’ employees activate their innovative and customer focused culture too. A company’s culture is NEVER static and is result of a structure which helping to keep the system.
THE MYTHS & EXCUSES AROUND IT PERFORMANCE

And if you actually planning to skip, than most probably you are already out of the market or soon will be. Nowadays absence of IT part in the DNA of your company is the sign to count days to last paid invoice from your clients before competitors will take over
And Yes, it is also important to say that IT is not something what will help you to always dominate on the market but definitely is a must element to stay on it. Next steps depend on your effective product management strategy (Business Model and Value proposition for your customers)

Entrepreneurial behaviour, isn’t for everyone, it’s for the unique and “special” “very smart” types of people.
That’s 100% false.
Anyone can become ENTREPRENEUR
Look at Elon Mask or Jeff Bezos
Do they have any superpower or magic?
They are people like everyone else.
What makes difference is how they deal with situations, stress, make decision, communicate, innovate. Ang good news here is that all these are skills what ANY PERSON can have and grow.
To become ENTREPRENEURSHIP no magic is needed but a bit of courage to make a first step.
